52 lists?! That is beyond exciting for a list fiend such as myself, hmmm do I dare consider it?! Nice happy list; letters, old friends & giggles, sunny mornings are very much on mine too!
ReplyDeleteWhat list is next? x
I'm not sure, do you have any suggestions? :) I was originally following the lists on Meet Me at Mike's but I've started doing a few new ones as well! x
DeleteNice list! Let me know if you need any Bristol tips for your weekend, happy to share my native Bristolian knowledge.
ReplyDeleteHi helen! Any tips are gratefully received.. I'm meeting up with friends down there too who will be able to show us round I think. I've been once before and there were so many cool shops and arty places i remember.
DeleteI'm sure your friends have some nice things planned but my recommendations would be...
DeleteFor coffee/lunch Boston Tea Party on Park St is great, or if it's sunny, riverstation on the harbour has fab views and really tasty tapas. The Birdcage on Corn St is a cafe in a vintage shop, with very good coffee, and Cox and Baloney on Cheltenham Road is a similar tea shop/clothes shop. Canteen on Stokes Croft does tasty and pretty cheap dinners and is a good place to have a drink or two, or if you fancy an authentic Indian meal the Thali Cafes (there are 4 across the city) are really delicious. For drinks, Brewdog on Broad St is a craft beer bar with an awesome selection, and for late night drinks there are two great speakeasy bars, Hyde & Co and Milkthistle.
Park St, Gloucester Road and St Nick's Market are the best for independent shops, and Clifton Village is always nice to wander in. Have a walk down Nelson St to look at the brilliant graffiti, and of course no trip to Bristol is complete without a walk across the Suspension Bridge!
Wow thanks Helen that's great! I'm excited about our trip now :)
DeleteOh that star chart painted by your Dad is very special! X
ReplyDeleteAwesome list :-) I love the star chart!! Making mix CDs is also always wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI recently posted a list of 100 things that make me happy.. you can see them here http://www.maryhassound.com/2013/03/100-things-that-make-me-happy.html
Oh I do hope you have a great time in Bristol. I want to go back and visit soon!
ReplyDeleteI'd started working on my own list after reading Sarah's, and funnily enough numbers 1, 2 and 5 were exactly the same as yours!
ReplyDeleteOoh. I was going to say I wish I'd seen this before so I could give Bristol recommendations but Helen's sorted you out :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you've had a lovely time here.
